The Wild Rooms

Changing what it means to escape to nature

Just 1hr south of Dublin, Tara Hill is a landmark in the heart of Ireland's Ancient East. The long extinct volcanic hill and surrounding area are steeped in history. Tara Hill House even provided refuge for the rescued sailors of the Ullswater shipwreck off the Ballmoney shoreline in 1868.

Now Tara Hill Estate welcomes you to 10 acres of rural escape and relaxation. Old traditional stone buildings meet modern sustainable design to create a memorable and unique stay in the sunny south east of Ireland.

Experience a different getaway

We may be a boutique retreat but we have a big heart and we strongly believe in the power of wellness. Health and strength from within are essential to overall wellbeing. A blend of creature comforts and natural surroundings can be a powerful tonic for rejuvenating the senses and creative spirit.

Now we are not going to get all 'woo woo' on you, but Tara Hill is sacred and if you allow yourself the time to be still you just might feel a connection to the earth. Those pauses in life can be just what we need to reset or realign our priorities starting with looking after ourselves. So go ahead and take some time-out, and if you decide to hug a tree then you might find out that it actually feels pretty good.
